Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, May 27, 2018
As we observe the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we reflect on the mystery of God who creates, redeems, and sanctifies; and we offer our petitions and pleas.
- That the Church may be committed to teaching all nations to observe the commands of Jesus and to baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We pray to the Lord.
- That the statutes and commands of God may influence world leaders so that their people may prosper and have long, safe, and joy-filled lives on Earth. We pray to the Lord.
- That all children may be raised in loving environments that protect them from fear of war, persecution, and violence of all types. We pray to the Lord.
- That the unity of the Trinity may inspire the people of St. Isabel to remain united in belief and action despite the difficulties that challenge their faith. We pray to the Lord.
- That this upcoming hurricane season will be mild, and that all people who are threatened by nature’s winds, rain, floods, and fire will be kept safe from harm. We pray to the Lord.
- As the apostles worshiped Jesus on the mountain but doubted, may we also remain faithful in worshiping God despite our own doubts, confident that Jesus is with us always. We pray to the Lord.
- That Fr. Cristopher will have the strength to continue to fight for his priesthood, fix in his heart that the Lord is God and that there is no other, and receive the grace of the Lord’s peace. We pray to the Lord.
- That all who are baptized in the name of the Trinity may grow in faith and resolve to respond with open minds and hearts to the Lord’s call. We pray to the Lord.
- That those who are sick or suffering in mind, body, or spirit may experience God’s healing and the support and prayers of family and friends. We pray to the Lord.
- That those men and women who gave their lives in the military in defense of our country and in service to all people may rest forever in the peace of heaven. We pray to the Lord.
- For our own intentions that we recall in silence…….. We pray to the Lord.
Lord our God – Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier – we offer our hopes, needs, and praise. May we be granted the grace to know your will and see your presence in all we encounter. We make these prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen
