There is a Campaign to tell the Bishop that parishioners want Fr. Gates to administer the parish for the indefinite future….IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?

Many members of St. Isabel Parish are concerned that, even before Fr. Christopher Senk’s situation is resolved, Bishop Frank Dewane may select Fr. Joseph Gates as the new, permanent pastor of St. Isabel.  Apparently, there is an ongoing effort to tell the bishop that parishioners actually want Fr. Gates to administer the parish for the indefinite future.

We are preparing a letter to Bishop Dewane to make the opposite point, and we ask whether we may add your names to the letter.  The letter would state that, while Fr. Gates may have been placed in a difficult position when he was assigned here in place of Fr. Christopher, he has become identified with a particular view of the liturgy and with a particular faction of the parish.  Therefore, we would explain that, in the interest of reconciliation, the bishop should give the parish a chance for a “fresh start” by selecting an experienced priest who has the capacity to bring us all together and can minister to the entire congregation in a mature and sensitive way.

May we include your names on such a letter?

  1. Give St. Isabel Parish a fresh start if Fr. Christopher resigns. Not until that time should he be replaced. We need to have a pastor who will reunite this broken parish family. Mary & Jim Payne

  7. We believe Fr Christopher should be able to return to st Isabel’s because he has done nothing to have been treated this unjust shabby way by the church he has served faithfully—-IN ALL THIS TIME——we honestly see NO reason why he was removed in the first place—–the time has come AND IS LONG OVERDUE— to allow him to return and be the priest and pastor he was before this action was taken against him for no reason!!!!!!!!! A good man and good priest should be treated as such!!!!!!!! HE DIDN’T COMMIT ANY CRIME — THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA HAVE EVEN SAID SO!
The parish can be VERY good again and spirit filled AGAIN when the church treats Fr Senk the right way! Give him back his voice!!!!! Give him back his priest hood and ALL the duties it carries with it! WE PRAY FOR THIS! IT CAN HAPPEN !
THE BISHOP NEEDS TO SET FATHER FREE!
WE HAVE TO SEE THE GOODNESS THAT EXISTS IN FATHER CHRISTOPHER!
WE HAVE TO SEE THE WRONG AND PAIN THAT HAS BEEN CAUSED TO HIM BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN HONEST!! FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO!

THERE WAS NO GOOD REASON TO DISMISS HIM AS PRIEST–AND PASTOR! Without A HEARING HE WAS DISMISSED AND CHARGED AND FOUND ‘NOT GUILTY’ WHAT MORE CAN ANYONE SAY OR DO TO FIND THIS PERSON NOT GUILTY ?? WHAT DOES THE BISHOP WANT ??? WHY DOES HE DO THIS TO FATHER SENK??
THE BISHOP CAN GIVE US ALL BACK OUR PEACE !

GIVE FATHER BACK HIS RIGHTS !!!!
